Introduction

The Camp 404 website is owned and maintained by Dave Beare for the purpose of promoting hillwalking and responsible (leave no trace) wild camping, the benefits to physical and mental wellbeing, and the comprehensive support Camp 404 provide to improve access and participation in these activities.

Insurance

As a Hill and Moorland Leader Dave Beare holds a current Outdoor First Aid certificate and is fully insured for activities within the scope of this Mountain Training qualification (Bluefin Insurance Services Ltd, policy underwritten by Sportscover Europe Ltd).

Mountain activities are never risk free so taking out your own personal accident insurance before going on an expedition is recommended. Please refer to the Expeditions section below.

Expeditions

Emma Holland Mountain Training (EHMT) is the provider of all expeditions, and bookings and payments are handled  directly through the EHMT website and these terms & conditions apply.

As detailed in the EHMT terms & conditions, sometimes plans have to change and very occasionally events have to be re-scheduled or cancelled due to weather or other factors. Please also note that for all Camp 404 expeditions Emma Holland and Dave Beare work together as a leadership team. The strength of this partnership and the relationships we develop with expedition groups during training and preparation are an integral part of what we offer. So we guarantee you will be led by Emma and Dave and that there is no contingency plan to employ other suitably qualified leaders to provide cover for illness, injury etc. In such circumstances we would make every effort to re-schedule an expedition for a suitable alternative date, or offer a full refund. However, if an expedition does have to be re-scheduled or cancelled neither Camp 404 or EHMT accept any liability for other costs incurred by you (eg travel). So as well as personal accident insurance, we recommend you include cover for booking cancellation.
